you can take her to any home depot or lowe’s and check out there decorating books and see what she likes.

This is my suggestion. I do agree with the others about looking through magazine’s and having her look at each object as oppossed to the room as a whole and have her circle each object she likes. If she is anything like my mother she may not want to do this. Other choices are to take her to stores that have home decor and ask her to pick out things that she likes. Also make sure to find out what inspire’s her. Does she love the outdoors, water, crafts, animals and see what emerges. Take her outside or on a walk and see what makes her heart smile. Also, go to model homes that are around you. They usually have a ton of decorating ideas throughout the model. She may like one thing or many. Also what makes her feel peaceful and at home. What are the things she liked about her old house and what are the things she didn’t like. Remember you don’t have to stick to one design style these days. Mix it up so there are many things she likes. What color does she associate with being calm or peaceful. This would be great choices in the bedroom/master bath and maybe a reading room or where ever she spends most of her time during the day. What color does she think of when she thinks of chaos, etc… Also if you decide the first color then the paint sample should have many other variations on it and usually if you stick to that sample it is foolproof as far as going into other rooms. Also buy a cheap color wheel at a craft store. You can find one for like $2 and this will help you to make complemntary color choices or to find which way to go the make the whole house flow. The people at the paint store should be able to help with this. Good luck and remember not to stress out to much. Take your time and have fun with it. I hope this has been a helpful tool.

find out what colors she likes. if ur planning on painting different colors that she likes pre room or the whole house. go with light colors. pick different test color stripes up at almost any places that sells paint. it will make rooms look bigger then they are. mirrors will help to. go by stuff that she already has that goes in them rooms. if shes planing on buying new stuff. go by that. she has a personal style already and she dont even know it. borders works wonders to. take her out one day and get lost of samples. and go from there. thats all i really can say and help. i love doing this type of stuff.
