In episode 407 of the IKEA Home Tour series, the squad visits Crystal and her daughter Madison. The family bought their first home, which was a dream come true. Crystal thought she would decorate the house quickly, but after six months, she has had trouble starting. He wants everything to be perfect, from the color of the paint to the furniture. The favorite room of Crystal and Madison in the house is the living room, but one of the challenges was that of the unarmed furniture. The sofa was too small and had no built-in storage, which led to the boxes being stored behind the sofa and the laptops at the top of the filing cabinets. Madison also wanted a table so she could do more arts and crafts. As a result, IKEA Home Tour Squad worked with Crystal to make her living room ideas come true.
The IKEA Home Tour Squad began with Madison's dream of having a table (and space) for arts and crafts. They added a white TRULSTORP coffee table in the center of the living room. On the surface, this coffee table offers the traditional fanfare of any other coffee table, however, TRULSTORP presents multiple functions, perfect for small spaces. Inside the TRULSTORP coffee table there is a storage space so that Madison can keep her art materials inside the coffee table when it is not in use, but easily accessible to start a project. For Crystal, TRULSTORP also helps, since you can lift half of the coffee table, so you can work on your laptop at a comfortable height while Madison works on his drawings on the opposite side.
One of the things the IKEA Home Tour team wanted to do was to transform the living room into a dining room as well. To do this, they divided the space with a ROSKILDE carpet. This rug slides under the coffee table and sofa to provide a decorative perimeter around the living room space, leaving enough room for them to add a dining area.
The decoration of the dining room began with a LISABO table, and Crystal was surprised at how easy it was to assemble it. The table was placed near the window to maximize the light of its space and the ODGER chairs helped to tie the space with the thematic colors of the rest of the house. In addition, the Squad added BIRTINE curtains to the windows. These curtains remain within the color palette of Crystal's house and control the amount of light and privacy they desire. The squad also added some superior lighting for meals later in the day.
To help with Crystal's storage need, the IKEA Home Tour Squad team added BESTÅ. This combined storage on the wall not only helps to divide the decoration of your living room from your dining room, but also shows your entertainment console in a visually pleasing way. In addition, the squadron added Ottomans from BOSNÄS under the BESTÅ storage. Now, Madison can keep her toys when the guests finish, but she can easily reach them when friends visit.
Finally, the squad added a green VIMLE sofa that is much larger and that matches the color of their house. Next to the sofa there is a BURVIK side table, perfect for pots and drinks.
With the small decoration of the living room completed, Crystal can now enjoy her home as she had always imagined. She has been through a lot, but now Madison and Crystal (and their skin baby, Bambi) really feel at home. For a list of products in this video, visit
